A pilot estate planning/will-writing program for clergy

Do you have a will? If not, you are not alone. In fact, 76% of adults in the United States do not. There are lots of reasons why people haven’t gotten around to writing their will: cost, time, confusion on where to start, and procrastination. The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas wants to help. We’re offering a new program for clergy in which participants, single or couples, will work with an attorney to create their will.

Methodist Foundation for Arkansas to Offer ‘Saving Grace’ Financial Literacy Course for Arkansas UMC Clergy and Spouses Sept. 23-24

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (Aug. 11, 2025) — For several years, the Methodist Foundation for Arkansas has placed a priority on clergy development and growth, both in relation to their work in ministry and in their personal lives. One of the newest opportunities the Foundation is offering for clergy is the Saving Grace financial literacy workshop.

Demystifying Wills and Trusts: A Free Learning Zoom from MFA, August 7

The second is determining which is right for them. These two types of estate planning documents accomplish similar things, but learning the difference between the two can be a critical part of planning your legacy and protecting your assets.

2025 MFA Seminary Scholars

Rogers, Shepherd Selected for MFA Seminary Scholarships

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 21, 2025)—The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas has selected Grace Rogers and LaToya Shepherd as 2025 Seminary Scholars. The MFA Seminary Scholarships will cover the full tuition of the United Methodist seminaries at which they are enrolled.

MFA Announces April 2026 Clergy Journey to Taizé, France

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 1, 2025)—The Methodist Foundation for Arkansas’s next International Study Cohort will travel to Taizé, France, April 13 through 22, 2026, for a five-day immersive experience among the monastic community there. The itinerary also includes two days in Paris.

Methodist Foundation for AR Announces Grants Made in Q1 2025

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (April 4, 2025)—The Grants Committee of the Methodist Foundation for Arkansas (MFA) Board of Directors has awarded a total of seven grants in their first three monthly meetings of the year, with grant funds totaling $131,692.

We plant our returns where they can be re-invested to work for Arkansans. In 2025, our investment-fueled grants program distributed more than $2 million to help feed, educate, support, and care for people in communities across the state.
